Picflow provides products, solutions, development, integration and consulting for both Digital Asset Management, Online Remote Proofing as well as publishing/prepress workflows - take a look around and let us know what your needs are...
If you are not familiar with DAM, we would be pleased to hear from you! We will be more than happy to help.
We've recently changed our name to better reflect our broader focus on workflow in addition to DAM - Picflow has been around since 1997 and comes from "PICk your own workFLOW".
What is a DAM (Digital Asset Management) system?
A DAM system is a tool for organizing digital media assets for storage and retrieval and ideally for publishing. It also allows you to attach metadata, important information about each asset. Metadata can be descriptive, such as keywords or categories; technical, such as file type, or size; or legal such as rights and credit. Assigning metadata to an asset allows you to search for the asset by describing it. This means that you don't need to know the file name, or even where the file is located in order to retrieve it - whether on the web or sitting at your desk on a Mac or PC.
